A high-build, fast-drying polyaspartic topcoat system for garages, decks, or restaurant flooring is the latest product offering from Westcoat Specialty Coating Systems.

EC-101 is a 100 percent solids polyaspartic topcoat formula that produces a durable and smooth finish resistant to scratching and chemicals, according to the San Diego manufacturer.

Westcoat Application

The company recommends the product for garages, decks and restaurant floors.

The product requires fewer coats with its high-build formula and creates less bubbles due to its short dry time, usually dry within 12 hours, the company relates.

Westcoat says the product has little or no VOCs, is non-flammable and is especially effective with paint chips or quartz, where a high-build clear topcoat is needed to maintain the variegated look.

The solution is available in clear and pigmented options at various distributors.

In conjunction with the EC-101, Westcoat is also introducing the CA-23 ThinCoat, a medium solvent used as thinner to provide a longer working time than acetone, according to the manufacturer.
