"This acquisition represents another step in enhancing the abilities and performance of our rapidly growing PureHM division," said Jack Elliott, president and CEO of Pure.

Pure, which posted revenues of CA$104.4 million in 2015, specializes in inspection, monitoring and management of critical infrastructure worldwide, including pipelines, bridges and structures. The firm markets proprietary monitoring technologies and performs technical services, including pipeline inspection and leak detection.

E-MAC, based in Edmonton, Alberta, provides corrosion prevention programs, including consulting, system management and product sales, for pipeline owners. E-MAC provides cathodic protection, sacrificial anodes, tapes and wraps, wax coatings and other products for corrosion prevention.

Growing Pipeline Business

E-MAC will be part of its PureHM business, which includes pig tracking, surveys and inspection, integrity and engineering, and in-line inspection services.

"This acquisition represents another step in enhancing the abilities and performance of our rapidly growing PureHM division," said Jack Elliott, president and CEO of Pure. "E-MAC has built a profitable business that complements PureHM through an improved customer offering, increased capacity to perform additional pipeline surveys and recurring work with new customers.”

Elliott said he expects the acquisition to be immediately accretive to Pure’s earnings.
