Soon visitors and residents of Los Angeles will be able to experience unparalleled views of the city.

But, there’s a catch. One must be willing to glide down a 45-foot-long glass slide affixed to the 70th floor of the US Bank Tower downtown.

Guests to the new Skyspace observation deck will have the chance to slide from the 70th floor to the 69th floor of the US Bank Tower in Los Angeles.

According to real estate developer OUE, its Skyslide will open June 25. Crews hoisted the slide into place via helicopter March 19.

Billed as a “first-of-its kind,” the Skyslide is made entirely of 1 1/4-inch thick glass, OUE said.

“The Skyslide boasts a safe, thrilling experience unlike any other in the world,” said Lucy Rumantir, OUE president and CEO, The Americas.

Designed by M. Ludvik & Co., the attraction is a component of Skyspace LA, a Gensler-designed observation deck spanning two levels on the building. Daily admission to OUE Skyspace will be $25.

Billed as a “first-of-its kind,” the Skyslide is made entirely of 1 1/4-inch thick glass, OUE said.

And it will cost thrill-seekers an additional $8 to take the plunge from 1,000 feet up.

Rumantir added: “Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to transform their view of Los Angeles as they glide down, gazing at unparalleled views of the city. “
