The EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA) has elected R. Michael "Mike" Murphy, of Dryvit Systems Inc., as its new president.

Murphy, the president and CEO of Dryvit, will serve in the role for a two-year term that began earlier this month. He succeeds William "Bill" Kasik of BASF Corp. Wall Systems in the role.

EIMA president

Mike Murphy has been named president of the EIFS Industry Members Association.

“EIMA has done an excellent job helping our industry address challenges and seize opportunity,” said Murphy.

“I’m honored to have been elected president and look forward to working with my fellow officers from across our industry to help advance our important mission.”

In addition to electing Murphy as its president, the association elected a full slate of officers that will serve with Murphy in leading the EIMA Board of Directors over the next two years. The officers are:

  • Vice President William Wagner (Dow Construction Chemicals);
  • Treasurer Marty Parker (STO Corp.);
  • Secretary Peter Daechsel (BASF Corp. Wall Systems);
  • Manufacturer Director Buck Buchcanan (Parex USA);
  • Director Wes Hotchkiss (L & W Supply); and
  • Director Dave Neff (Manning Materials).

Important Role

Murphy says his election as president of EIMA is a reflection of the important role his company plays in the EIFS industry. Dryvit, headquartered in West Warwick, RI, is a leading manufacturer of exterior insulation and finishing systems (EIFS) in North America.

EIMA, founded in 1981, is a non-profit trade association comprised of manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and applicators involved in the EIFS industry.

The association is “committed to advancement and growth of the demand for EIFS by accomplishing objectives which either cannot be achieved by individual members, or those which are more efficiently carried out collectively.”
