Benjamin Moore Teams Up With Start-up

In a move it says will boost the brand’s exposure to Millennials and those who prefer to shop online, Benjamin Moore has teamed up with Paintzen, a New York-based on-demand home and office painting service.

Paintzen is a two-year old startup that has been described as the “The Uber of House Painting” offering simplicity, automation and service to the $40 billion U.S. painting industry, according to the companies.

The official collaboration was announced Wednesday (Nov. 11).

Paintzen manages the entire painting process online, from paint selection and quotes to booking and payment, according to the company.

The partnershipmeans that all paint used on the projects ordered through the online service will be sourced from Benjamin Moore retailers. It goes into effect immediately for customers in Paintzen’s active metropolitan markets, such as New York City and San Francisco.

How it Works

Paintzen manages the entire painting process online, from paint selection and quotes to booking and payment, according to the company.

All of Paintzen’s painting contractors are insured and have undergone background checks. Further, the company has a team of project managers to guarantee job completion and satisfaction.

Benjamin Moore recently announced its color of the year for 2016, Simply White.

Paintzen also recently closed on a $7.2 million Series A round led by Bullpen Capital, according to the announcement.
