Larson Electronics is offering a hazardous location LED light fixture that is designed to be resistant to corrosion in marine environments.

The HALP-48-2L-LED-SIBAB aluminum I-beam fixture is U.S./Canada approved Class 1 Division 2 Groups A, B, C, and D and UL 1598A listed. It is specifically designed to handle wet and corrosive marine environments, the company said.

The HALP-48-2L-LED-SIBAB aluminum I-beam fixture is specifically designed to handle wet and corrosive marine environments, according to Larson Electronics.

Larson said the 4-foot-long, two-lamp fixture is made for operators who seek a top-quality hazardous location light that will improve light quality and reduce operating costs. The I-beam mount is designed for upward lighting for pits in work stations and for downward lighting for pipe racks and under shelving.

Lighting Specifications

The fixture is constructed of non-corrosive materials including a polyester housing reinforced with glass fiber; a poured-in gasket for reliable sealing; and an impact-resistant acrylic diffuser, according to the company. Eight corrosion resistant plastic latches secure the lamp cover to the housing and provide a firm lock against the poured-in seal to prevent drips and water intrusion.

Each lamp produces 3,360 lumens from 28 LED bulbs at 120 lumens per watt for a combined total lumen light output. It is equipped with two aluminum I-beam clamps and two aluminum adjustable flange brackets, Larson said.

The fixture is universal voltage, not multi-tap, and operates on any voltage from 120V to 277V without any modifications, the company said.
