A web-based dust-collection diagnostic system billed as the "first of its kind" has been introduced by Camfil Air Pollution Control.

The GoldLink system provides 24-hour daily access to dust collection operations by monitoring four preset analog inputs and 16 preset digital inputs, the Jonesboro, AR-based company says in a press announcement.

Designed for manufacturing facilities that do not have building management systems, Camfil APC says GoldLink is useful for companies with remote dust collectors, 24/7 operating schedules, sensitive applications and/or the need to generate reports for agencies such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The GoldLink web-based system, by Camfil Air Pollution Control (APC), collects dust diagnostics for critical point review and regulatory agency reports, the company says.

The GoldLink unit ships preprogrammed and is connected to the Camfil APC server.

The company says GoldLink monitors emissions, filter pressure drop, airflow velocity, fan and VFD run status, explosion protection devices and other critical points.

The  system is designed for use with any Camfil integrated control panel and may be retrofitted onto existing dust collection systems, the company states. It is purchased on a one-time cost basis with no monthly service fees.

Camfil APC is a global dust-collector manufacturer.
