NAPLES, FL--Industrial Nanotech Inc. is promising better thermal insulation in a non-hazardous formulation at a lower cost with the second generation of its Heat Shield EPX4.

The two-part water-based epoxy thermal insulation and corrosion- and chemical-resistant coating features several enhancements, the company says.

The coating is used on pipe, tanks, and other equipment for insulation and energy savings and asset protection.

Industrial Nanotech CEO/CTO Stuart Burchill (hand under sample) demonstrates the flame resistance of EPX4 epoxy insulation coating with chemical, corrosion and thermal resistance.

The upgrades reportedly include:

  • Improved thermal insulation;
  • Better temperature reduction per coat;
  • Extended pot life (24 hours instead of two);
  • Longer shelf life;
  • Tintable white base color; and
  • Lower cost per square foot/square meter.

Industrial Nanotech says the product offers durability in extreme environments and splash resistance, while the nonhazardous formulation means less expensive shipping, said company VP Francesca Crolley.
