Metal buildings can make code with a continuous insulation system that includes new SNS Thermal Spacers from Sealed "N" Safe, the Utah manufacturer says.

Patented SNS Thermal Spacers offer a "cost-effective and easy-to-implement"  thermal bridge system between the outer shell and the inner frames of a metal building, the manufacturer says. The company claims that the system's reduction in heat loss and HVAC costs allows users to recoup their investment within 18 months.

When installed with an MBI fiberglass insulation blanket, SNS Thermal Spacers can double energy performance in steel and other metal buildings, the manufacturer says.

SNS Thermal Spacers are structurally sound, watertight, and tested per AISI, ASTM, ICC and U.S. Energy Codes, the manufacturer says.

Installing an MBI fiberglass insulation blanket with the SNS Thermal Spacer creates a continuous insulation system that can double energy performance in steel and other metal buildings, according to SNS.

Established in 2008 and based in Ephraim, UT, Sealed "N" Safe provides solutions for architectural panels, standing seam panels, through-fastened panels, wall panels and complete building envelope systems.

Product literature offers no information in regard to fire testing. Good luck trying to figure out if this can be used in non-combustible construction.
