New Base Mix for Decorative Concrete

Walttools has rolled out a new concrete bond coating mix for use on decorative concrete projects.

Structure Coat is a coating mix designed for superior strength and water resistance, according to a product release by the Morris, IL-based manufacturer.

The new concrete bond coating mix is recommended for use as a scratch coat.

The company debuted Structure Coat at the Concrete Décor Show, held Oct. 1-3 in Fort Worth, TX.

Applications, Availability

The coating mix can be applied to structural foam, EPS foam, cement board, clean concrete, and other surfaces without the need for a bonding agent, the company says.

Application methods include hand or concrete pump/spray.

Structure Coat will be available through select decorative concrete supply distributors, according to Walttools.

Walttools makes decorative concrete supplies that have been used in more than 30 countries. The company’s product lines include stamps, texture tools, stains and more.
