AkzoNobel has introduced Interline 975P, a solvent-free, single-coat potable water lining for the North American water and wastewater market.
With a 2:1 mix ratio (by volume), the product provides corrosion protection to steel storage tanks and pipelines exposed to a wide range of cargoes, including crude oil and other hydrocarbons, AkzoNobel says.

The product is formulated as a two-component, 100% volume solids, zero-VOC, amine-cured epoxy tank lining.

By eliminating Benzyl alcohol, Interline 975P reduces solvent emissions, eliminates the risk of solvent retention, and minimizes the occurrence of taste or smell in potable water tanks during storage, the company says.
The product can be applied in a single coat using standard airless spray equipment and can be recoated up to 28 days. The coating cures to a hard, glossy finish.
