AkzoNobel’s Powder Coatings business has launched a dry-on-dry primer and topcoat application process with only one heating stage.
Interpon Align is a two-coat, one-bake powder coating system that eliminates one full cure cycle.
Align eliminates the primer curing process, curing both coating layers simultaneously, according to the company.
Tailored Options
The system is suitable for thick, heavy mass metal parts for OEM specifications, according to AkzoNobel. It provides good edge retention and corrosion protection, the company says.
