Jokes and Other Diversions

A newly married sailor was informed by the Navy that he was going to be stationed far from home on a remote island in the Pacific for a year.
Longing for his wife after he arrived, he wrote her a letter.
“My love,” he wrote, “we are going to be apart for a very long time. Already, I miss you terribly and I’m so bored. There’s not much to do here in the evenings and no one to talk to but young, attractive native girls. Perhaps if I took up a hobby, it would make the time pass.”
So his wife sent him a harmonica with a note that said, “Darling, why don’t you learn to play this?”
Eventually, the sailor’s tour ended and he rushed back to his wife.
“Darling!” he said. “I missed you so much! I can’t wait to make passionate love to you!”
She kissed him lovingly and said, “Sure! But first, let’s hear you play that harmonica.”
