Tom is almost 29 years old. His friends are all married, and poor Tom just dates and dates. Finally a friend asks him, “What's the matter, Tom? Are you hung up on finding the perfect woman?”
“That’s not it,” replies Tom. “I meet many nice girls, but as soon as I bring them home to meet my parents, my mother doesn't like them. So I keep looking.”
“Listen,” his friend suggests, “why don't you find a girl who's just like your mother? That way she’s sure to like her.”
Weeks go by before Tom sees his friend again, but when they meet, the friend asks, “So Tom, how’s the dating going? Did you find a girl who’s just like your mother?”
“Yes I did,” shrugs Tom. "I found a girl just like my mom."
“That’s great! So are you engaged yet?”
“I'm afraid not. My father can't stand her.”
