Two Cub Scouts were late to their den meeting.
“Why are you so late?” the den leader demanded.
“We were helping an old man cross the street,” one of the Scouts replied.
“That’s nice,” said the leader. “But it shouldn’t make you a half hour late.”
“Well, you see,” said the other boy, “he didn’t want to go.”
