New Robotic Painting System Boosts Efficiency

By Bob Watkin, Owner/President, RBW Enterprises, Inc.

RBW Enterprises has introduced a new product line, the FasterPainter. The automated painting system is operated using the same hand-held remote control used to run its FasterBlaster product.

The operator can run the system safely from the ground, eliminating costly man lifts and scaffolding. Guide cables keep the FasterPainter the proper distance from the tank so there is no contact with the wall. The hoist fixture rides on the tank roof and is operated by the hand-held remote, giving the operator full control of the painter’s movement and speed in all directions.

When using the FasterBlaster and FasterPainter, blasting and painting can be conducted simultaneously. Blowdown is not required prior to painting, because the FasterBlaster’s high-vacuum system leaves the surfaces virtually dust free. With these new robotic operating systems, there are no emissions or overspray, and containment is not required.
