Summary/Objective

The Industrial Painter is a multi-skilled employee that will work in different departments according to production demand. The employee will perform a variety of activities associated with Industrial Paint with some activities related to assembly and finishing in sub-assembly. Attention to detail and quality are essential components of this position.

Essential Functions

* Prepare materials, surfaces and equipment for coverage with paint

* Prepares, coats and finishes all required surfaces

* Operates equipment to apply industrial paint finishes

* Adjust nozzles on spray guns as needed to obtain the proper dispersion of spray and monitor the flow and viscosity of the paint for solutions

* Clean paint lines, paint guns and perform all other cleaning preventative maintenance to ensure that painting apparatus and area remains in working order

* Initiate and maintain all applicable paperwork as required

* Safely operates Forklift and other material handling equipment per safety polices

* Assemble some equipment components, sub-assemblies and/or accessories as required for the assigned stage of production

* Perform preventive maintenance as required to maintain high level of work center performance

* Support all regulations and requirements that are necessary for ISO-9001 and ISO-140001

* Perform other duties as required

* Serve as team member and resource for other departments

* Actively participate in problem prevention and problem solving as part of Advanced Flow Solutions' ongoing program of continuous improvement

* Be available and receptive to all training for ongoing self-development

* Plan daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and supervisor's instruction to maximize personal output

* Responsible for keeping immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety and quality

* Report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate manager and human resources for immediately correction

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience with equipment preventative maintenance and light repair

Preferred Education and Experience

Two (2) - five (5) years of Industrial Painting

Work Environment

Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron and face shield must be observed.
