Description - Assist in the creation of strong, innovative design concepts for a range of light industrial project types and related including cold storage warehouse, light industrial distribution and manufacturing.
- Provide planning expertise in the massing and demising of residential projects, as well as the layout of unit interiors
- Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
- Help manage client, team, and project team, including full documentation coordination with project Consultants, such as structural, MEP, landscape, and civil consultants, lighting, code and A/V
- Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
- Maintain project manual and specifications
- Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during construction
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Profile - Master's degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
- Licensed Architect (or working towards license)
- Proven performance in directing the delivery and construction process across all phases
- Proven sensibility to the design process and ability to interpret and develop creative and technically proficient solutions to design challenges
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
- LEED accreditation preferred
