Praxair Surface Technologies (PST), a subsidiary of Linde plc, a company that primarily supplies atmospheric, process, specialty gases, high performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking a Market Specialist for the North American Printing Industry.

The Market Specialist, Printing will support our Printing industry business in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and will report to the NA Sales Manager, Industrial Coating Services.

Market Specialist, Printing

  • Generate sales within an assigned territory for designated key accounts
  • Works closely with ICS Territory Specialists and Printing industry agents to develop and support growth throughout North America
  • Accountable for achieving established sales target by seeking out new customers and maintaining productive working relationships with existing customers
  • Consults with potential coating services customers drawing upon engineering skills and experience to make complex engineering and economic decisions to demonstrate the practical value of the product (e.g., decreased cost and increased quality and productivity)
  • Develops plans for each key account, incorporating fully developed customer needs, including long and short term goals and tactics; determines pricing and maximizes revenue
  • Thoroughly understands and communicates PST's Coating Service Agreements regarding terms and conditions, liability issues and compensation on commercial issues
  • In the process of doing business with the customers, develops knowledge and collects data on the account's business, products, processes, growth opportunities and customers, to better understand general market and specific customer needs
  • Maintains good coordination and communication with other sales groups, and functional groups, such as marketing, customer service, production, engineering, logistics, law and others, to ensure the account strategies are aligned with the available resources and market objectives
  • Works in collaboration with Marketing to determine trade show plans, literature requirements, and advertising/promotion needs designed to facilitate market growth
  • Represents PST in a professional and dignified manner at all times
  • Key sales metrics are: Sales (revenue), Operating Profit, Gross Margins, number of customer visits, number of opportunities, win ratio and EOY projected sales, all documented in CRM
