After more than 20 years, the exterior metal of the high-rise office building on the east coast of South Florida was showing the effects of aging in the powerful subtropica elements, which include intense solar radiation, a salt-permeated seaside environment and the wind and rain of tropical storms and hurricanes. The exterior of the structure, built in the mid-1980s, was in need of serious attention....
