It is not uncommon during the course of abrasive-blast surface preparation to overblast and create a blast profile that is over and above the defined specification. This article describes a study that takes a closer look at the topography of a surface (before and after reblasting an over-blasted profile) and determines how this topography might affect the corrosion protection of a coating....
