Although many topcoat standards for architectural and protective coating applications include a durability requirement based on the accelerated weathering performance of a white coating, there are currently no standards for field-applied coatings which address the needs of specifiers who want to ensure durable color performance in saturated or bright colors. Good article. We have been working with FEVE coatings for close to 20 years now. We have consistently found 1000 hours QUVb can be roughly correlated to 5 years natural sunlight (Australia) and so on up to 4000 hours QUVb to 20 years natural sunlight.
