I think there is a typo in the article. It mentions "superhydrophilic" coatings.....I think it meant "superHydroPhobic".

I was skeptical of the claim that the air conditioner operation in hot weather can increase fuel consumption by 20-25 percent. It's actually 5 to 25% per the source. Further reading into the claims will reveal the testing is only done on two different vehicles, not the Prius, and it varies depending on many different conditions (speed, environmental conditions, etc.), thus the range.

Thanks for noting the possible typo, G M. In this case, however, we are talking about superhydrophilic coatings.
