The wide variation in abrasive types, blasting processes, and operator proficiency result in huge fluctuations in the efficiency and cost of abrasive blasting operations. Therefore, significant cost reductions and productivity improvements are possible with proper selection and use of abrasives. This webinar will describe how to estimate abrasive productivity, consumption rates and costs for specific blasting activities when specifying the type of abrasive to be used during surface preparation of a steel structure.
