Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, we have approximately 45,000 people in around 80 countries, while our portfolio includes well-known brands such as International, Devoe High Performance coatings, Interpon, Dulux, Sikkens and Eka. Consistently ranked as a leader in sustainability, we are dedicated to energizing cities and communities while creating a protected, colorful world where life is improved by what we do.

With reference to understanding coating and lining failures, a wise man once wrote, "Success is rarely an accident" and "despite the claims of universal utility there are no panacea paints (coatings)." That wise man was Mark Schilling. His words still resonate today.

A big challenge is to protect tank and process vessel internals econonmically for decades to come with linings installed in either somewhat benign or harsh service environments. This webinar will focus on critical factors necessary to avoid the premature failures of those linings. Not surprisingly, people and protective coatings are front and center in the exploration of this subject. Surprises will be revealed as to what can happen in the specification of high- performance linings, surface preparation and lining application. Coating and lining practitioners aware of caveat emptor — buyer beware — will be very much helped with this knowledge on how to avoid tank lining failures. Participants will be eligible to receive credit from SSPC.
