EcoQuip

Founded in 2005, EcoQuip produces eco-friendly abrasive blasting systems for coating removal and surface preparation. EcoQuip’s vapor-abrasive blast equipment eliminates up to 97 percent of airborne particles produced in typical dry-blasting applications by adding a fine mist during the spraying process. EcoQuip equipment performs at the same production rate as traditional dry-blast equipment while dramatically decreasing blast media consumption. The products can be used in challenging conditions such as high humidity, rain and under water. Visit www.ecoquip.com for details.

Graco

Founded in 1926, Minneapolis-based Graco is a world leader in fluid handling systems and components. Graco products move, measure, control, dispense and apply a wide range of fluids and viscous materials used in vehicle lubrication, commercial and industrial settings. Graco protective coatings equipment provides advanced technologies that dependably and accurately spray the toughest materials. With its Graco's global distribution network, contractors can count on quick turnaround times for expert service and replacement parts. For details, visit www.graco.com.

Concrete is one of the most common and frequently the least understood building material. Application of a coating is one method to improve the properties of the surface, the durability, or the aesthetics of concrete. Concrete surface preparation is one of the most important factors in successful coating application. Concrete is not uniform in composition, properties, or its ability to accept coatings. The successful application of a coating, topping, or overlay to a concrete substrate requires an understanding of the properties, deterioration mechanisms, site inspection methods, and surface preparation techniques unique to concrete. This webinar will briefly review these topics as well as provide references from industry guidelines from ASTM, ICRI, NACE, SSPC, ACI, and other sources.
