Yes stripe coating the edge is the best thing, but the applicator should determine if the spec calls for it.

     Technically, you only have to do what the spec says. If your spec doesn't call for stripe coating, then it is not required. However, it is always a good idea and will prolong the life of the coating.

     Atanas, accessibility for spraying has nothing to do with the need for stripe coating. If you aim to spray an edge, how much paint do you actually have on that? And how much dry spraying of adjacent areas? In shipping we know the limitations of the paint supplier;  this is why WE (the owner's inspectors) have to insist in stripe coatings.
