Well, this is just a dumb, inflammatory question. Nobody has all of the evidence - just a small fraction filtered through media bias and hype. Therefore, nobody here can know whether he is guilty or not.

He who has the Gun in the hand decides whether to shoot or not,also where to shoot.For self defence reasons a shot in the leg or foot would have also done the job WITHOUT killing someone.The young man had no kind of weapon (according to media).In such a situation I see no justification in the use of DEADLY force.

I could not find a good choice in the poll as the available options were too narrow. Based upon news information (both partial and biased) it should be a case of self defense. If someone were on top of me, banging my head on concrete, a would reach down for my pistol and shoot them wherever I could before they killed me or caused permanent brain damage. Aside from that, not having all the information no one can legitimately make a decision. So we have to wait for the court to decide. I think it is crazy that of the dozens of murders committed daily that this particular one be front page news for over a month. Talk about blowing things out of proportion!! What do you folks think of the group of black people who beat a white guy half to death as "get even" for Treyvon? THAT is worthy of comment! What do you think of the black panthers putting a $10,000 price on the head of Zimmerman, which is definitley illegal, and the Dept of Justice refused to prosecute or even stop them? THAT is more worthy of discussion too.

Why is this a Black and white issue, or Hispanic and Black issue? Shouldn't this be a good guy, bad guy issue. One of these guys is the good guy, or maybe they are both the good guys, or maybe both the bad guys. Nobody knows what the actual truth is. We have to stop with the black, white stuff. Let the court decide.

Onc e again, PaintSquare has come up with a question that has no value or place on a Paint & Coatings site. I dont see where this is a "water cooler" topic nor can it be justified by PaintSquare to be an appropiate question for comment.

I have no objection to discussing a variety of topics but I do think the Zimmerman thing is way overdone and the press has blown it far out of proportion.
