Exceletech to Recoat Ferric Sulfate Tank

David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility

Exceletech Coating and Applications, LLC, of Clermont, FL, secured a contract of $197,200 from the City of Tampa, FL, to repair and recoat a 70,000-gallon ferric sulfate tank at the David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility. The project includes coating the interior and exterior surfaces of the 24-foot-diameter by 27.5-foot-high welded-steel tank. The interior surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to a White Metal finish (SSPC-SP 5/NACE 1) and lined with primer, adhesive, and vulcanized chlorobutyl rubber. The exterior surfaces will be coated with a silicone alkyd system.
