A new hard hat brim provides neck and face UV protection for workers who are exposed to the sun.

Ergodyne is expanding its heat stress solutions line with the Chill-Its 6660 Hard Hat Brim with Shade, available June 18 at authorized distributors.

Universal Fit

The product fits around the outside of a hard hat that blocks the sun's rays to keep workers comfortable when working in an environment without other forms of shade.

Ergodyne Chill Its

Ergodyne's Hard Hat Brim with Shade fits over almost any hard hat to provide face and neck protection from the sun's harmful rays. It will be available June 18.

"There's no question that heat stress is a life threatening issue. The good news, however, is that it's 100% preventable," said Adria Hardy, product manager.

Tom Votel, president and CEO, added: "With the summer months just around the corner in North America, Ergodyne is on a mission to educate workers and supervisors on the importance of heat stress preparedness."

The hard hat brim has an elastic inner rim design that provides a universal fit. Made from 100 percent polyester fabric, the hard hat is available in Hi-Vis Lime and Hi-Vis Orange.

Making 'Cool Stuff'

Headquartered in St. Paul, MN, Ergodyne has spent 30 years "developing hardworking gear and cool stuff that Make the Workplace a Betterplace for the folks in the trenches and on the front lines."

Ergodyne's products include work wear, shelter, worksite organizers, protective gear, and high-visibility clothing. The company currently holds 91 global patents (with an additional 16 pending) and 55 trademarks.
