Graco Adds 2 Portable Airless Sprayers

More items for Coating Application

Comment | More

Graco has unveiled a series of airless sprayers designed to handle a wide range of hot potted coatings applications.

The portable, single-component Merkur X48 and X72 weigh 99 pounds each and are suitable for high-solids coatings.

Graco airless sprayers

Graco's new Merkur single-component airless sprayers are portable and weigh less than 100 pounds.

The Merkur sprayers can be positioned in tight areas without sacrificing spray quality or power, the company said.

The X48 model offers a maximum fluid working pressure of 4,800 psi; the X72 offers 7,200 psi. Both units support longer hose runs.

Series Features, Options

According to Graco, the sprayers are easy to maintain and the pump is easily disassembled from the air motor. The throat and piston packings are self-adjusting and spring-loaded to maintain packing life.

The pressure bleed valve offers a floating ball design to reduce clogging and leaking. The pump is lower on the Merkur series, which is designed to provide improved handling of high-viscosity coatings.

A one and one quarter inch inlet reduces “dead spots” and coating buildup and attaches to a quick knock-off one-inch by six-foot suction hose.

Both sprayers may be used for a wide range of applications, including marine, rail and steel fabrication, the company said.

The sprayers are available as the unit only or as a complete package that includes an XTR gun with 519 tip and 3/8 inch by 25-foot hose and six-foot whip.
