Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com has announced the addition of several new products this year, including a hazardous location-approved LED light fixture and a fluorescent light fixture with paint booth certification.

The company produces a full range of explosion-proof and hazardous location lighting equipment, LED work lights, portable LED lights, LED light towers, and LED boat lights.

Upgraded LED Lamps

The HAL-48-2L-LED-G2 explosion proof LED light fixture is approved for hazardous locations and has upgraded LED lamps that produce over 5,000 lumens.

The new light fixture from Larson is approved for hazardous locations and is designed to resist corrosion and dampness, the company said.

According to the company, the light features a corrosion-resistant, marine-rated design. Approved for Class 1 Division 2 locations, the lights have copper-free aluminum housings, aluminum reflectors with a high-gloss finish, shatter- and heat-resistant clear acrylic lens, and two second generation LED tube lamps that produce over 2,700 lumens each.

The lights carry a standard 50,000-hour operational life rating, the company said.

The housings are designed to resist corrosion and dampness, making them ideal for offshore use on oil platforms, marinas, and shore side applications, the company noted. The fixtures have no ballast, making them lighter and reducing maintenance requirements, according to Larson.

Low-Profile Light

Larson Electronics also introduced a low-profile, explosion-proof light fixture featuring high output and paint booth certification.

The EPL-48-216 is a fluorescent fixture for operations where high output and even light coverage is required. The fixture features four fluorescent lamps housed within a low-profile fixture made of copper-free aluminum.

The lights are T6 temperature rated, Class 1 Division 1 & 2 compliant, and certified for paint spray booth use, the company said. They are also suitable for offshore applications.

According to the company, the new fluorescent light fixture is approved for use in a paint spray booth and hazardous locations.

The four bulb design produces 20,000 lumens and have a 20,000-hour operational life rating. The bulbs are protected by heat- and impact-resistant Pyrex tubes, and the lamp assemblies feature screw on end caps for easy servicing, according to the company.
