The Powder Coating Institute has appointed trade publication veteran Dave Lurie as its new executive director to succeed Rodger Talbert.
Talbert, president of Talbert Consulting, had been technical director of the group since 2009 and added the duties of executive director in April 2011.
Talbert resigned from both positions effective June 1 and was succeeded by Lurie and Ken Kreeger as interim co-directors, a PCI spokeswoman said. Kreeger also served as interim director in 2010 after then-executive direct Steve Houston resigned.
