Larson Electronics has introduced an explosion-proof, four-foot-long lighting fixture that carries a paint spray booth light certification and T6 temperature class certification.
The Magnalight EPL-48-2L-LED Explosion Proof LED Light Fixture is U.S./Canada U.L.-approved Class 1 and Class 2, Division 1 & 2, for areas where flammable chemical/petrochemical vapors exist or have the potential to exist.

The fixture is equipped with Magnalight’s specially designed LED T-series bulbs, which produce 15% more foot candles of illumination at eight feet, as compared to standard T5 lamps when measured with an Extech light meter.
Larson says it now offers its second-generation LED tube lamps with the fixture, improving the light's performance.
Features and Specs
The unit does not have the ballast box normally associated with fluorescent fixtures, which reduces overall weight and creates a slimmer unit profile. The included LEDT-24W LED lamps have a 50,000+ hour service life, and the solid-state design is designed to resist damage from vibration and temperature extremes.
Larson says the 24-watt LED lamps provide for cooler operation and produce more illumination than standard T5 bulbs while drawing only one-third of the current. The unit is 100% recyclable and helps qualify buildings for LEED and other sustainable business certifications, according to the manufacturer.
The light fixture is made in the U.S. and is U.S. and Canada U.L.-approved for use in paint spray booths.
