The National Coil Coating Association (NCCA) has named Dr. Al Dunlop to the position of technical director.
Dunlop will work to advance the association’s strategic objectives by enhancing the group’s technical competence. As part of his position, he will connect with other associations and technical bodies to collaborate on key projects.

Al Dunlop has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering and is a veteran of Valspar, Glidden, and Novacor Chemical.

Dunlop holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto. He has abundant experience in coil coatings, having served as vice president of coil and extrusion coatings at the Valspar Corp., director of building products and various technical roles at Glidden, and business development manager at Novacor Chemical.
Dunlop also served on the NCCA Board of Directors from 2001 to 2004 and has presented at NCCA Technical Conferences.
About the Association
The National Coil Coating Association (NCCA) is an established trade organization dedicated to the growth of coil coated products. The Cleveland-based group, which marked its 50th anniversary this year, consists of 160 member companies that provide coil coating service; manufacture and supply metal, coatings, chemicals, and equipment; and process and warehouse coil-coated products before delivery.
