Creaform has released a new version of its Pipecheck software that features a new module for assessing mechanical damage to pipelines.
Version 2.0 of the Pipecheck pipeline integrity assesment software solution also includes other improvements based on user feedback, says Creaform.

What’s New?
The new software features numerous functionalities for pipeline mechanical damage analysis that increase dent understanding.
New features include:

Radius measurement and maximum depth measurement using straight edge technique in both directions;

Automatic creation of 2D cross-sections in both direction at maximum depth;

3D and 2D color mapping of the damaged area;

Visualization tool to increase dent shape understanding;

Depth-over-diameter ratio;

Multiple dent analysis; and
-
Pipecheck viewer.

When using the company’s Handyscan 3D laser scanner, results are instantly generated on site and directly output in Excel format, the company says.
Innovative Solution
“This new release will definitely position Pipecheck as an innovative, intuitive, and highly effective solution for pipeline integrity assessment,” saids Pierre-Hugues Allard, Business Development Manager for Non-Destructive Testing.
Also available is the new, rugged Field Pack, which includes a wireless tablet for real-time visualization of the scanned surfaces.
