International Paint LLC, an AkzoNobel company, has appointed Scott Doering to the newly created position of Vice President Protective Coatings Business Development, North America.

Doering will be responsible for developing the strategic sales and growth initiatives related to the company’s International Paint, Devoe Coatings, Ceilcote, Polibrid, and Enviroline brands. His focus will be on lining products that currently serve the oil and gas, industrial, and water and wastewater market segments throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Industry Veteran
At only 20 years old, Doering started his career as the owner of a retail paint store. He now has more than 30 years of experience in the coatings industry and is a NACE Certified Coating Inspector.

Doering joined International Paint in 2005 as the Protective Coatings Regional Manager Central Region. In 2009, he was promoted to Vice President, Marine East Coast, North America, and served in that role until this recent appointment to Protective Coatings.
