Pirate Brand has rolled out the Typhoon Pipe Blasting System, which does not use leather seals or require constant adjustment.

How It Works
The Typhoon is designed to clean the internal surfaces of pipes from eight to 36 inches by connecting to a lance that is coupled to the standard blast hose instead of the nozzle, the company said. A carriage fitted to the tool supports it and centers it in the pipe, and the tool is positioned at the far end of the pipe. As it is slowly withdrawn, abrasive is thrown from a twin-nozzle, rotating blast head.

According to the company, three types of carriages are currently available to suit small-, mid-, and large-diameter pipes. The Typhoon comes with a small rotating head and two, ¼-inch tungsten carbide nozzles.
