Coatings consultancy KTA-Tator Inc. has appointed Daniel P. Adley, CIH, CSP, as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding company founder Kenneth B. Tator, P.E.

Adley has been with KTA for 17 years, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
Tator remains active at KTA as Chairman of the Board and principal consultant. Kenneth A. Trimber remains as President.
New Roles
Adley’s new position will expand his involvement in all aspects of operations, including finance, strategic planning and initiatives, succession planning, shaping culture, risk management, and leadership.
“His experience with ensuring continuous profitable revenue growth; high-level decision making about vision, policy and strategy; exposure assessment and mitigation; organization succession and leadership development; driving change, motivation and communication; and influencing people to work enthusiastically towards goals for the common good will help secure KTA’s position as an industry leader into the next decade,” the company said in a release.
In addition to working with Adley on management of operations, Trimber will maintain his work on technical committees; writing and presenting papers; and technical oversight and leadership of client services. Adley: Health and Safety Leadership
A Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional, Adley has more than 35 years of diversified safety and health consulting experience. Currently, he serves as Chairman of SSPC’s Group Committee on Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance.
Adley is also active in the American Industrial Hygiene Association as a past chair, Emeritus member of the Construction Committee, and recipient of the AIHA “Fellow” Award. He was the Technical Editor of the first and second editions of the Industrial Lead Paint Removal Handbook (Volume 1) and co-authored Volume 2 of Handbook: Project Design.
Adley holds an M.S. in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was named a University Scholar for high promise of significant contribution to society and progress. He also has a B.A. in Chemistry from St. Vincent College, where he was an honors graduate and recipient of the Rafferty Award as Scholar-Athlete.
Adley is also a longtime member of—and nationwide speaker for—Vistage, an international organization dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of chief executives and business leaders.
