The Sherwin-Williams Company is recalling nearly 120,000 aerosol canisters of automotive, acrylic and other paints in the wake of user reports that cans have been leaking and pose a fire hazard.

The recalls affect:

• Dupli-Color Perfect Match Automotive Paint (8 ounce);

• Krylon Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze (12 ounce);

• Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Crystal Clear Acrylic Paint (11 ounce); and

• Tree House Studio Clear Acrylic Matte Coating (11 ounce).

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said Aug. 29 that it had agreed to the “voluntary recall” in cooperation with Sherwin-Williams. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

 The recall affects four Sherwin-Williams products and totals nearly 119,000 cans.
