Concrete surfaces that need protection from water intrusion have a new solvent-free, low-VOC option from W.R. Meadows.
Hydralastic 836 is a flexible, cold-applied, low-odor, solvent-free, 100 percent solids, single-component waterproofing compound for interior or exterior concrete surfaces.
Applications and Features
The latest addition to W.R. Meadows’ waterproofing line, Hydralastic 836 is suitable for horizontal and vertical substrates; positive-side waterproofing for foundations; above-grade and below-grade applications; and between-slab applications such as waterproofing plaza decks, planter boxes, and sealing parapets.
Company president Matthew Price says the product is easy to apply and creates “a tough, flexible membrane.”
The product does not shrink and will not crack in extreme cold or slump due to softening at high temperatures, the manufacturer says. Hydralastic 836 also contributes to LEED credits for Indoor Environmental Quality and Energy and Atmosphere, according to W.R. Meadows.
