Synchronizing coating thickness data and updating and networking instrumentation should all be easier with new wireless technology developed by DeFelsko Corp.

The company has announced the addition of WiFi wireless technology to all of its PosiTector Advanced coating thickness gages.

 

DeFelsko has added WiFi wireless technology to all of its PosiTector coating thickness gages.

WiFi features allow users to synchronize instrument readings with DeFelsko’s cloud-based PosiTector.net, download updates and connect to all PosiTector instruments located on the WiFi network.

The company says the technology is included with all advanced models that have serial numbers greater than 730,000. WiFi allows for simple communication with devices such as tablets, smart phones and computers connected to the WiFi network or portable mobile hotspot.

The Ogdensburg, NY-based company said the WiFi addition would provide users with maximum flexibility to manage data.
