Abrasive blasting and painting equipment supplier Marco has acquired the rental equipment inventory of BGRS Inc., which provides environmental control equipment to the coating industry.
Houston-based BGRS, founded in 1976 as Blast Grit Recovery Systems, provides equipment to control, collect and recover dust and grit during industrial painting work. Combustible dust has become a growing source of injuries, deaths and safety violations in the industry.

BGRS’s line-up includes standard mobile and skid-mounted portable dust collectors and fixed or portable grit recovery systems.
Iowa-based Marco, which has served the surface preparation industry since 1944, provides abrasives, blasting equipment, engineered systems, painting equipment, rental equipment, safety equipment, and service and repair.
‘Gold Standard’
“The addition of this equipment into Marco’s rental fleet will greatly expand our ability to provide quality products and recovery system solutions to former BGRS and current Marco customers,” Marco said in a release. “BGRS Inc. is recognized as the gold standard in quality for portable dust collectors and classifiers.”
All BGRS equipment has been moved to Marco’s locations in Deer Park, TX, and Davenport, IA.
