Quest Climate Control Equipment has added the propane-powered PowerDry 4800P Pro to its family of industrial dessicants, to help control and maintain critically low dew-point environments on painting and coating projects.
The unit follows the release of the electric-powered PowerDry 4800E Pro dessicant dehumidifier and has the same features, according to Quest.
Design and Features
The 4800 is made with robust construction and a wide operating range (-10ºF to 140ºF), to provide optimum performance on painting and coating projects in extreme conditions. The 4800 cfm unit is designed to fit in the bed of a ¾-ton pickup truck, with the tailgate down.

The lightweight aluminum construction is designed for maximum strength, corrosion and weather resistance, and high-capacity performance.
The 4800P removes almost 380 gallons (more than 3,000 pints) of water per day at AHAM and is equipped with a reactivation temperature sensor that controls the amount of heat going into the rotor, so that the desiccant is always operating under the best possible conditions.
Like all Quest products, the 4800P is made in the United States. This unit is fully certified, CSA, UL, ETL, runs on 240V single phase, and requires only 60 amps of electricity.
Established in 1977, Quest Climate Control Equipment is a division of Therma-Stor LLC.
