The U.S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command, Atlantic, has awarded a $315,700 contract to Wepfer Marine Inc., of Memphis, TN, for drydock repairs aboard two vessels.

The project involves drydocking and repairing the USCGC Kanawha (WLR-75407), a 75-foot “E Class” river buoy tender, and the USCG 130 Barge (13073), home ported in Pine Bluff, AR.

The project will include preserving (recoating) the underwater body, appendage, decking, hull plating freeboard, spud well, interior stern tube and hull plating surfaces. A wide variety of repairs is also planned.

The Request for Quote was solicited as a Small Business Set-Aside for companies of fewer than 1,000 employees; past performance was an evaluation factor, and the Kanawha is geographically restricted to the Western Rivers of the United States.
