Polycoat Expands Sales, Tech Force

Swimming against the cutback tide, protective coatings maker Polycoat Products has beefed up its North American sales and technical support staff with 20 new additions.

The expanded force consists of two additions to the California staff and 18 independent reps tasked with expanding sales throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Technical Support Appointments

In California, where the company is based, Polycoat has appointed Adriaan van der Capellen as Sales and Technical Support Manager for the Waterproofing Division and Steven McGrane as Technical Sales Manager, Industrial Applications, Foam Division.

Adriaan van der Capellen, new Waterproofing Sales and Technical Support Manager, has more than 34 years of experience in the coatings industry.

“Van der Capellen and McGrane bring us strong, hands-on sales and technical support expertise that will assist us in our explosive national growth,” said Senior Vice President Ashish Dhuldhoya.

Van der Capellen is a coatings industry veteran with more than 34 years of experience in sales, technical support, and new business development. His waterproofing and coatings knowledge spans all facets of new and remedial construction, including product sales, technical support, specifications, estimating, project management and preparation of waterproofing and coating systems.

Before joining Polycoat, van der Capellen held Technical Sales and Manager positions with Pacific Polymers, Williams Specialty Coatings and Slater Waterproofing. He is fluent in Dutch and holds a J.D. from Western State University College of Law and a B. A. in Political Science from California State University Long Beach.

McGrane brings a strong sales and technical foam application background along with hands-on expertise in industrial applications. He previously held positions at Arnco Construction, Henry Co./RTC and Pro-Tech Products and has a “keen ability to troubleshoot technical problems and work closely with customers on large commercial industrial projects,” the company said.

Steven McGrane is Technical Sales Manager for Industrial Applications in the Foam Division.

McGrane will assist Polycoat with its emerging foam division sales and product development.
