PPG Architectural Coatings has an opening in the Pittsburgh, PA, area for a Technical Service Representative.
This position will be responsible for resolving inquiries by providing accurate technical information and support, which may include site visits for the Pittsburgh Paints, Porter Paints, Spectratone, Iowa, Olympic Paints and Stains and Keeler & Long brands.
The rep will work with sales and service, independent dealers, company-owned stores, contractors and consumers to meet critical timelines for follow-through. He or she will be responsible for answering questions on the technical service hotline, which operates from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST and handles about 180,000 calls annually.
Technical Service is also responsible for developing and delivering product training to independent paint dealers, company-owned store personnel and national account customers.
Applicant Requirements
Applicants must be customer-oriented, have strong negotiating skills and be able to work independently and with others in a self-managed team environment. Paint-related field sales or service experience is strongly desired, and a bachelor’s degree is required.
