Emerald Performance Materials LLC, producer of polymers and performance materials, is seeking a highly skilled chemist to plan and direct technical service activity related to the company’s epoxy and RLP (reactive liquid polymer) product lines.
Founded in 2006, Emerald serves niche industrial end-market applications in the coatings, defense, aerospace and other industries. The available position is in Moorestown, NJ.
The applicant should have a BS in Chemistry with 10 to 15 years of experience in the epoxies and/or other thermoset resin industry, as well as five years of experience in product development of adhesives, paints, coatings, composites, or related compounds. Additional experience in synthesis of epoxy functional compounds is desirable.
Duties
Responsibilities include:
• Managing customer requests for information and data on existing and new products by phone and by electronic communication;
• Developing technical information to help educate CVC sales agents and distributors about products for specific applications;
• Researching, evaluating, and implementing new technologies;
• Making technical presentations to customers and agents as needed to educate and inform about products and applications.
Travel will be required.
