Paint BidTracker Launches New Website

Paint BidTracker has launched www.PaintBidTracker.com, home to the world’s only construction reporting service for the paint and coatings industry.

Paint BidTracker delivers bid intelligence to industrial (protective and marine) and commercial contractors, consultants and suppliers with daily e-mails and offers on-demand access through an intuitive, searchable database. The new site uses tag-based technology, faster servers, and updated software to create a smooth, customizable user experience.

Paint BidTracker detailed the plans for painting of the Huey P. Long Bridge in Baton Rouge—a contract estimated at $70 million to $100 million.

Non-subscribers may use many new free resources for coating professionals, including a complimentary bid posting tool for engineers, facility owners and contractors seeking sub-bidders.

‘Additional Value’

“We’re very excited to provide additional value to both our current subscribers and new users through faster, more effective technology and an improved organization system,” says Brian Churray, Paint BidTracker Product Manager.

“By moving from three primary classifications (structure, scope, and category) to a tag-based system, we are able to match individual reports to a wide range of users.”

The new site offers free resources for coating professionals, including a bid posting tool for engineers, facility owners and contractors.

As a result, the service will now include broader coverage of specialty coatings work, with additional opportunities for floor coatings, roof coatings, EIFS, waterproofing, and cathodic protection.

Time-Saving Functions

Heavily influenced by user feedback, many of the improvements focus on time-saving functions and workflow enhancements. Customers can now e-mail individual reports, export spreadsheets of search results, and save a report as a PDF. A five-year archive of painting bid results is also available for market research purposes. 

Subscribers and non-subscribers can also interact through a photo and video sharing module, blogs, and social media communities. Classified ads offer an equipment marketplace and employment opportunities.
