ProContractor Software Gets Upgrade

Maxwell Systems Inc., maker of construction management software, has launched a new upgrade for its ProContractorMX software, with enhancements for field reports, employee records, workforce reporting and payroll and other features.

ProContractorMX version 2.8 upgrades overall system performance and infrastructure and includes new features for Canadian contractors.

The upgrade includes enhancements for workforce reporting, construction payroll, and field reports.

The new version includes features and enhancements to:

• Handle sales and use (self-assessment) tax for contractors in the United States, Canada and Australia;

• Automatically transfer daily field report items entered on an iPad directly to the office;

• Efficiently manage workforce reporting and construction payroll, including Davis-Bacon Certified payroll reporting, union, workers' compensation, and benefit tracking; and

• Virtually and securely file, access and manage W-4s, I-9s and other important employee documents.

The new version follows version 2.7, introduced earlier this year. That upgrade featured a new safety manager module and new tools to increase takeoff speed and accuracy, comply with OSHA safety regulations and manage equipment maintenance.

ProContractorMX is designed as a comprehensive construction management tool with capabilities for takeoff; estimating; bids and proposals; management of projects, financials, procurement, inventory, employees, payroll, and equipment; and critical reports for analysis of projects or business operations.
